Client: Xiamen Zhitongfangda Technology Co., Ltd.

1. Summary

Xiamen Zhitongfangda Technology Co., Ltd. had just been established and purchased several patents in a patent family owned by a French company.  Said foreign company claimed that this was a very authoritative patent, and that a corresponding application was filed in China claiming foreign priority. In order to verify the authenticity and validity of the purchased patent family and avoid the infringement risk of new products subsequently developed in the Chinese market, our firm was entrusted by the client to carry out validity analysis and patent scope analysis on the patent family involved. We informed the client that the domestic (Chinese) patent application did not claim foreign priority, but was a new case that was filed directly in China, and was a different technical scheme. This analysis report was provided to the client as intellectual property investigative information on which to base their follow-up business cooperation with the French company, and at the same time, patent infringement analysis of client's own new technology was carried out to avoid risk of intellectual property infringement they may face in the future.
